Welcome to Rekar
Our history dates back to 1958, when father Ivan and mother Cilka began their first culinary venture in Duplje, in the Gorenjska region.
After three years, they opened their first restaurant at the current location. It was a simple, homestyle inn where they served traditional homemade dishes such as blood sausages, pork sausages, dry-cured salami, dry sausages, pork spread, aspic, liver, brains with eggs, and more.
Today, our restaurant continues the culinary tradition of our parents, while also offering a wide variety of dishes, including all kinds of schnitzels, vegetarian and vegan options, seafood, game meat, and exotic cuisine. Our offer is complemented by catering services and homemade desserts, led by the signature pies from our in-house bakery.
