Gostilna Rekar – A Homegrown Tradition with a Flavor that Connects Generations
Welcome to Gostilna Rekar, where for over half a century the story of genuine hospitality and homemade food has been written. Since 1958, when Cilka and Ivan laid the foundations at our current location in Duplje, Gorenjska, guests have been coming to us for something more — for flavor, warmth, and tradition passed down through generations.
Today, the inn is run with the same dedication by the third generation, who honor the heritage while enhancing it with modern dishes. Our plates still carry the aromas of blood sausages, pork sausages, and aspic, but also fresh seafood, game meat, vegetarian delights, and desserts made by our own hands.
The interior of the inn accommodates 150 guests, with an additional 100 comfortably seated on the spacious outdoor terrace — perfect for celebrations, intimate lunches, or family gatherings.
For the little ones, we offer a playground, and we’ve also provided parking, a bike rack, wheelchair access, an e-bike charging station, and even a bus parking area — making us an excellent choice for tourist groups and cycling trips.
We collaborate with local suppliers, select ingredients with heart, and create an atmosphere filled with genuine smiles.
